Arrow fans can literally count down the amount of days left till Season 3 begins! The show based on DC Comics characters tells the story of billionaire playboy Oliver Queen, who returns to the world after being presumed dead for five years but actually shipwrecked on an island where he learned how to better himself and become a living breathing weapon.

The CW have released their new poster for season 3 and I'm sure this is enough to make any fan's mouth water! Looking at the poster you can see the usual allies with a burning city in the background. DC Comics and Superman fans will be delighted as Brandon Routh ( Superman / Clark Kent in Superman Returns ), once again joins the DC universe as the superhero Atom a.k.a. Ray Palmer.

For the first time since Season 1, Willa Holland's Thea Queen, little sister to Arrow himself, is missing from the lineup. It's fitting since she left the city at the end of Season 2 with her newly discovered biological father, the villainous Malcolm Merlyn
