Yeah im about to get some hate from die hard DC Universe fans for saying this but here goes anyway, Harley became a pop culture icon thanks to Margot Robbie's portrayal of her in Suicide Squad (2016) and with her becoming more mainstream of course there we bound to be spin-offs, (the Joker movie isn't hurting the release of this show either... just saying) and here we are with Harley Quinn animated show for mature audiences.
Now that you're all caught up, let's move on shall we.... this is a nice move on the part of DC whose characters always seem so goodie two shoes... finally they're really crossing boundaries and putting this character in a style she should be in namely, mature audiences and judging by her ever-growing popularity as well as the upcoming movie, Birds of Prey, Harley is definitely moving up in the ranks of comic book hero stardom.The show is ... to put it bluntly, awesome! With it currently approaching episode 5, I can honestly say they have me in as a regular watcher and as a fan. It's nice to see a take on a DC character such as this and extremely refreshing, theres appearances by Scarecrow, Bane, Penguin, Batman and of course (in case you were wondering but weren't sure) the cclown prince himself, The Joker.
Love her or hate her, Harley Quinn is here to stay, on TV and on the big screen so why fight it, give it go, who knows, you may just enjoy it, not a bad way to spend 20 minutes, I can think of worse things to do....
