Let me be the first to admit, I did not see this coming! A Sonic the Hedgehog movie based on Sega's extremely popular and addictive game from the 90s that has only grown in popularity spawning multiple sequels and cartoon shows.
So you take a speedy hedgehog, throw in Jim Carrey and fan favourite, James Marsden and you may have the makings of an interesting movie and I know im biased but I am curious enough to want to see this one.
First time director, Jeff Fowler sits at the helm while, and this is mindblowing, Neal H Moritz, producer of The Fast & The Furious, takes on this project as producer! The movie was made on a whopping budget of $95 million. Your turn to admit, you're curious now. Let's wait till February to see what happens...

Sonic the Hedgehog was originally scheduled to be released in the US on November 8, 2019, but after an overwhelmingly negative reaction to the first trailer, released on April 30, Paramount delayed the film to February 14, 2020 in order to redesign the title character, whose original design drew the most criticism. The redesign, unveiled in a new trailer for the film, garnered a far more positive reaction from fans.
SYNOPSIS
Sonic tries to navigate the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound best friend -- a human named Tom Wachowski. They must soon join forces to prevent the evil Dr. Robotnik from capturing Sonic and using his powers for world domination.
