SHAZAM (201?) ... DWAYNE "THE ROCK" JOHNSON is About to Kick Superhero Ass!

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is Black Adam in the upcoming DC Comics movie, Shazam!!! It's official! Johnson took to Twitter to make this announcement last week and fans are finally put at rest as the initial belief was that he would portray the hero, Shazam but those were regarded as rumours. This spells good news as we continue to see a whole new emergence from DC Comics as they plan to make more and more superhero movies following the successful Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy and the recent Man of Steel movie.

I really don't care which hero or in this case, villain Johnson portray as long as he appears in some form or other in a superhero movie. You would think that with his physique, varied acting skill and box office appeal ( remember what he did for the Fast & Furious franchise? ) that Marvel or DC would've jumped at him to star in any of their movies a long time ago.

Rest assured hero fans, Dwayne Johnson is Shazam's arch-enemy, Black Adam! Thus far, not much else is known about the movie except that it is being penned by Bill Birch, Geoff Johns and Darren Lemke.
