In 1986 a very young Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer took to the skies in the original Top Gun movie and now over more than 30 years later they return to bring us the long overdue sequel to one of the most iconic movies of the 80s.
The sequel carries with it a heavy burden of trying to out perform the original movie with die-hard fans expecting grea things from this and I'm sure with all the talent involved this movie has the potential to be another Cruise blockbuster hit as with the original.This time around they've included the talents of actors such as Jennifer Connelly and Miles Teller, with Teller taking on the role of Maverick's best friends, Goose's son.
Joining Cruise for this sequel is super producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, so we know this one's going to be jam-packed with action and drama. The move is directed by Joseph Kosinski who stood in the director's chair for 2010's Tron Legacy. Top Gun: Maverick (2020) was made on an estimated budget of $152 million which is nothing in today's terms for any movie but amazingly the entire box office run of the original movie only amounted to $356 million back in 1986. Be sure to find this one in cinemas around June 2020 and in time for the US Summer.
