Adam Sandler fans can step a little closer as our favourite comedian goes up against legendary arcade villains! Of late, Sandler's movies have not been as good as some of his previous movies and there have been some extremely lacklustre movies left in a trail between 2010 and 2014 including Jack and Jill, That's My Boy, Grown Ups 2 and Blended. I personally loved his other movies like the uber romantic 50 First Dates and the tragic Reign Over Me. Perhaps Pixels will be a return to form for Sandler but time will definitely tell.
Pixels is directed by Chris Columbus and also stars Peter Dinklage, Michelle Monaghan and Kevin James. The movie is set for a July 2015 release date.
PIXELS SYNOPSISIn Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults.
President Will Cooper (James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Dinklage and Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.
